On Ties is an ode to creativity and the togetherness that creativity encourages. Drawing on his own experience as an artist, Tempest reflects on the possibilities of creativity to deepen our relationships with ourselves and with others.

Tempest's suggestion against the disconnection and disorganization that we feel more acutely, especially during the pandemic, is a commonality that we can achieve through creativity. Creativity is a sense of wonder beyond the artistic and an impulse that drives us. This manifesto, whose central thesis is that our need for connection and togetherness can be met through creativity, combines a mystical and mythic perspective with an anticapitalist context.
