Description

One day, Rıfkı meets a young woman in a bookstore. He likes this young woman at first sight; he cannot get her out of his mind. He only knows the name she gives to the bookstore and the address of the school where she says she works. He calls the school, finds her and asks her for an appointment. But, strangely, it is not the woman he met in the bookstore who shows up for the appointment. How can this be? Why did the woman in the bookstore give someone else's name and address?

Throughout the novel, Rıfkı tries to unravel what lies behind the strange behavior and incomprehensible attitudes of Piraye, whom he falls in love with and later marries, and her close friends Neriman, Şükriye and Semahat. What is the secret that binds these four women together? Why have they been almost inseparable since their school days?

Eve's Stepdaughtersbetween February 12 and May 7, 1928. Last Hour was serialized in the newspaper. One of the most special and beautiful novels written by Peyami Safa under the pseudonym Server Bedi. Peyami Safa must have thought so too, because two years later, in an advertisement in Resimli Ay (February 1930), he wrote Daughters of Eve It is announced that it will be published under the name and signature of Peyami Safa. In other words, the author himself put this novel in a separate place and decided to publish it with his original signature. However, in a strange twist of fate, the novel meets the reader for the first time almost a hundred years after it was written.
