Description
Yejide is a motherless child. Her father's four wives do not mother her. While studying at the university, she meets Akin. They fall in love with each other. After four years, although they love each other very much, they are under terrible pressure because they have no children. There is no medical reason why they cannot have children. Yejide repeatedly goes to hospitals to have a child. When she gives up on medicine, she begins to search for something out of the ordinary: She turns to spiritual leaders and witch doctors.
In Nigeria, where polygamy is practiced, the elders of the family decide to find Akin a second wife. Yejide must get pregnant at all costs. Even if she has to pay a terrible price in return.
Stay with Me is a colorful story set against the backdrop of social and political events in 1980s Nigeria.
